Friday 26th September - walks **** – Woodbridge with Maeva – cloudy and chilly.

Friday is Maeva day and not a hint of sun today, chilly too but when she arrived she was all the sunshine we required for the day as absolutely full of fun:) I actually managed to complete my exercises and pack a picnic as I had a plan, after doing her new ABC puzzle a couple of times we set off in the van on a mystery tour, well not that exciting really, we drove to Woodbridge hoping to park near the play area by the tennis courts but could not get a spot so actually paid in the swimming pool car park. We got a nice quiet spot to have our picnic lunch in the van and bumped into fellow windsurfer Tom who gave us some yummy cake! We then walked down the lane, over the level crossing that leads to the River Deben path, we made a small detour to watch a small but speedy remote control boat in the yacht pond:) Then onto the Woodbridge river promanard looking for some swans to feed, we had taken a tube of duck food especially! It was gloomy and pretty quiet but nice to be out and about and soon found three swans, a duck and some gulls to feed, Maeva sat on the river wall and had great fun feeding the birds! We continued to the Tide Mill past the usual old house boats, many up for sale! Sadly Maeva managed to fall over and hurt her hand but she pulled her sleeve over it for the rest of the day as a way of forgetting it! We headed to the park where Maeva enjoyed the swings, see saw and slides, Mag went to get the van as our time was up and we meet her on the road to head for home with Maeva promptly fulling asleep! She woke when we arrived back in Felixstowe, finished her packed lunch on the settee and did some stickers and colouring before Mag took her home, another top Friday. Another first I have taught her the famous old staying, ‘I can’t do that as I have a bone in my leg’ another vital piece of knowledge learned:)
